Deutsche Telekom's company-specific sustainability indicators serve as important internal tools in this respect. They allow us to measure current progress and review the Group's services, products and labor organization in terms of sustainability performance - and its contribution to the successful, sustainable development of our corporation. The indicators also aid the formulation of future Group-wide targets.
International and neutral
External indicators and guidelines are just as important for our sustainability activities as in-house control mechanisms. In particular, we follow the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which requires companies to issue binding statements on the status of as many indicators as possible. By meeting this requirement to the best of our ability, we want to enable outsiders, such as the majority of our stakeholders, to track and verify the status of our sustainable development as objectively and neutrally as possible. The content and weighting of our reporting should ensure a highly transparent, comprehensive overview of our activities in the areas of human resources and sustainability.
The Group also discloses the results of benchmarks, and uses the results as an impetus for improvement. In this way, we continuously broaden our commitments in the field of sustainability.
